Q: What is the Pantone Color of the Year for 2013?

A: Founded in 1963, Pantone LLC is a world renowned authority of color and provider of systems that have become the standard language for color communication. Each year, Pantone selects their Color of the Year, based upon worldwide color influences. Pantone has selected Emerald (PANTONE® 17-5641) as the Color of the Year for 2013.
According to the Pantone website:
“Emerald, a vivid, verdant green, enhances our sense of well-being further by inspiring insight, as well as promoting balance and harmony. Most often associated with brilliant, precious gemstones, the perception of Emerald is sophisticated and luxurious. Since antiquity, this luminous, magnificent hue has been the color of beauty and new life in many cultures and religions. It’s also the color of growth, renewal and prosperity – no other color conveys regeneration more than green. For centuries, many countries have chosen green to represent healing and unity.”
SFERRA features bedding, bath linens, table linens, blankets and throws in various shades of green. For Spring 2013, we are introducing a yarn-dyed jacquard, Angelico, in duvet covers and shams in a beautiful shade of Celadon, with coordinating Giotto sheets. And we are planning for additional introductions in Emerald during the months that follow.

Currently, SFERRA offers the popular Festival and Ascot table linens in Emerald:
