This circa 1770 table, from the Irish Georgian Society, depicts the influence of such reformers of taste as Seymour and Adam. The elaborately inlaid top and apron rails are composed of fiddle-back mahogany, European white ash burl and prima vera. The inlaid lines are maple and the elegantly tapered legs are adorned by solid brass ormolu. Irish Georgian traditional warm red mahogany low-sheen finish with a black glaze.
