Winterthur Philedelphia Writing Desk This desk, from the Winterthur Museum Collection, is adapted from the original sewing table, made in Philedelphia circa 1805. The kidney shaped top features elaborate prima vera veneer with contrasting mahogany. The center section had a leather surface for writing. The elegant legs are reeded, turned and hand carved at the top. Great Lakes slightly tinted high-sheen lacquer finish.
