Winterthur Seymour Arm Chair These chairs, from the Winterthur Museum Collection, have been adapted from the original chair and settee made circa 1800 in Boston by the Seymours.  Kindel had applied upholstery to the front of the chair back for added comfort.  The top rail features complex construction with contrasting prima vera veneer on the solid mahogany crest rail, flaring legs and seat rails.  Hand-carved reeding, rosettes and leaf carving adorn this chair.  Traditional Winterthur hand-colored,  high-sheen finish.
